You know to how to show this Jeep girl LOVE!

I also think with State Parks you have to visit the visitors center and fill out a form.  We wanted to concentrate on camping and sand sledding!

https://visitidaho.org/things-to-do/state-parks/bruneau-dunes/ please check this site before going.  Many restrictions are in place during the uncertain times! Their guidelines have change even since we visited.

Bruneau Dunes State Park is home to the tallest freestanding sand dunes in North America, with the highest reaching 470 feet. Hike the surrounding trails, climb the dunes and rent a sandboard for quick trip down. Families enjoy camping, fishing in the small lake and watching the night sky at Idaho’s only public observatory located right in the park.

THINGS TO KNOW

  • The entrance fee to all of Idaho’s State Parks is $5.00 per car, with additional fees for camping.
  •  Check the Park's calendar for star parties and other guided activities.
  • Reservations for stays (campsites, cabins, etc.) within Idaho's State Parks can be made toll-free by phone at: 1-888-922-6743 or online.
  • Pets are welcome in most Idaho State Parks, but some parks prohibit them in some cabins and yurts and they are prohibited from beaches.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6-feet or confined to a camper.
  • Please don't pick the flowers! Wildlife and vegetation are protected in all Idaho State Parks.
  • All Idaho State Parks are ADA friendly and support service and companion animals.
I did manage to catch a few pictures!

Always make sure to pay attention to all signs and obey in state parks!

This is a another dune that we didnt manage to get to this adventure!
Beautiful huh!  Looks so fun!

Rented some Sand sleds....1st thing before you sled?
WAX, WAX, WAX, and when you think you haven't waxed enough?
WAX more I tell you!  You will THANK me!
Seriously, the sleds are older than dirt and I think every wax possible,
you need it slicker than slick to go down and when the sand is at its peak hot temperatures,
you need to wax every single time again!  Your welcome!

https://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/parks/bruneau-dunes again, be sure to check what the guidlines and restrictions are at any State Park!

**Please note: The Observatory Nights only occur on Friday and Saturday evenings (with the exception of 3-day holiday weekends). Observatory season occurs late March to early October and is weather-permitting.

*Be advised that park staff will halt sandboard rentals when the air temperature reaches 80 degrees as sand temperatures are much hotter and pose a risk for burns.

Coeur d' Alene, Idaho - Centennial Trail - 2020 Jeep Gladiator Lake Drive - Photography - Sunset

Gorgeous Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive
Beautiful evening drive along the Centennial Trail!

Coeur d'Alene · Population
51,303 (2018)
Watch the video here on YouTube:

For those who haven't heard of the North Idaho Centennial Trail:
The North Idaho Centennial Trail is 23 miles long, extending from the Idaho/Washington state line to Higgins Point, 6 miles east of Coeur d’Alene at the end of Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive. You can walk, jog, or bicycle on a Class I & II paved trail. At state line, it connects with the Spokane River Centennial Trail, which extends through Riverfront Park (22.5 miles west of the state line) and on to Nine Mile Falls

The video is the portion that run along Coeur d' Alene Lake Drive,
near downtown off Sherman Avenue, or I-90 exit 15!

Info from : https://www.cdaid.org/794/departments/parks/trails-main/centennial-trail

Also some great info to know:

A printed map of the Centennial Trail can be picked up at the Coeur d'Alene Parks office, Post Falls Parks office or the Visitor's Centers in Coeur d'Alene or Post Falls.

I did find a trail map here though as I was curious, even as a North Idaho native.  Where did it begin and where did it end? I guess I never looked into it more! https://nictf.org/trail-map/

After we made the video we parked and watched the sunset:

Some of the different spots to sit, picnic, recreation,
take a sweetheart to watch the sunset or the sunrise...
little trails to sneek away and explore or kiss that sweetheart!

Some informational signs at each parking outlook area.
This one is near the boat ramps.

Tons of info on tourism, visiting and local news: https://www.coeurdalene.org/

The Coeur d’Alene area is surrounded by dozens of lakes left behind by the glaciers from the ice age. There are more than 55 lakes within easy driving distance of Coeur d’Alene, but none more scenic and full of activities than Lake Coeur d’Alene itself.

There is something magical about Lake Coeur d’Alene that’s hard to define, but begins with the spectacular North Idaho sunsets and moonrises, the plunge of an osprey after a fish, the glowing lights of downtown Coeur d’Alene reflecting across its waters at night. The perfect place to plan your next vacation and activities.

Coeur d'Alene is the largest city and county seat of Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. It is the principal city of the Coeur d'Alene Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2019, the United States Census Bureau estimated the city's population at 52,414. The city is a satellite city of Spokane, which is located about thirty miles to the west in the state of Washington. The two cities are the key components of the Spokane–Coeur d'Alene combined statistical area, of which Coeur d'Alene is the third-largest city. Coeur d'Alene is the largest city in North Idaho and the city is situated on the north shore of the 25-mile long Lake Coeur d'Alene. Locally, Coeur d'Alene is known as the "Lake City," or simply called by its initials: "CDA."
